A few years ago we were shopping at Nakumatt Westagate. My mum, small brothers and I.  While at the till we realised we had forgotten sauce, it was ketchup or tomato sauce I can not quite recall and my brother, Nyaga was sent to get it. He went and picked the sauce then as he was about to come back to us Chris Kirubi approached him. Of course he did not know that that was Kirubi.

This past weekend I went for an event organised by Supreme Chefs Kenya , an association for chefs in Kenya. The event was a Chefs cooking competition and one of the guests/ friends of Supreme chefs was Chef Philippe Frydman. We had a chat with him when I told him I have an artisinal business where I make and sell sauces, savoury jams and gourmet nut butters. He was quite excited and started to tell me how artisans make amazing items and how some of the things we buy are so easy to make.

Hahahhaha so how about that title? Cheese board mwitu. hahahahahah I just died a little and went to heaven. Would you believe I just learnt the name mwitu like in the last maybe 3 years. Growing up I never heard of that word. I grew up in Parklands. Not the bougie side but not the ghetto either. For some reason chips were never sold on the streets so we never had chips mwitu.
