One of the things I decided to do towards the end of last year was eat out more. I am a foodie, love my food but I find that I get dissapointed quite often that I generally just end up cooking most times as I feel it is a better use of my time and money. But a few months ago I decided to try out new places and I have been pleasantly surprised. I have found some places that are quite nice and others just ok.

HIYA!! How are you doing? I am doing so good. I am so happy to finally get back my writing mood.  So I went to Berlin in September. I got into an entrepreneurship mentorship program with ENPACT. A German based company that mentors entrepreneurs from East Africa, Middle east and North Africa.

I was quite excited to get into this program. For those who have been following me for a while know that it has been a long journey slowly growing my business. I started officially in 2013 when I quite my job but by then my blog had been running for 2 years and my kitchenware business for 1.5 years. It has been lots of tears and battles and also lots of joys and happiness. I will one day talk about my journey but it has been a fulfilling one and getting into this program was affirmation that I am heading in the right direction.

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed Germany, in terms of food and culture as well as my business learning. What I loved most? The CHEESE and cold meats. MY LAWD I ate cheese daily, and it was super cheap too I actually bought some to bring home.

One my first day in Germany I went on a food tour with Berlin Food tours. The guide was Bastian and it was amazing. Took about 4 hours, we went round the Mitte region to 10 different spots.

The first place we went to makes these sweets. I promise you they were the best sweets I have every had. They also claimed to have the best brownies in Berlin, they were nice but not better than the ones I make 😉

What I loved most about this other than tasting lots of food was that there were historical sites and other things to see.

The breakfast spreads at all the hotels was so amazing. Again what I enjoy most was the cheese varieties. and the butter out there is soo good I even carried some home.

Then you know how Germans are so famous for beer and sausages, well I ate quite a bit of the sausages and I actually enjoyed beer! I had two glasses of the lemon beer

They have this thing all over the town called Curry wurst, So at first I thought it was an Indian franchise but turns out it is just a famous street food. It is sausage, grilled, sliced served with ketchup and curry powder. It is so delish.
