It’s been a hot minute. I have missed you guys. I hope you have been cooking. What have you been cooking or eating? Go down there and tell me what you’ve been eating up then come back we continue with our chat.
So I have been up to a lot. Traveled to India and Dubai ate up a whole lot. I need to fill you guys up on all that soonest. But today we speak about Jack Daniels.
You should know by now that I make amazing savoury jams (buy here) if you haven’t tried one you really need to. Well since I my jams are so amazing (if I do say so my self) when I got a bottle of Jack Daniels from their Kenyan office I decided to try make an adult sweet jam. Well as I researched I ended up throwing out the jam and I ended up making a marmalade.
Growing up I really did not like marmalade. To be honest I still don’t but this one. This one is quite something. You just have to try it. I bet it would be awesome with some cheese and also cooked with some chicken. It has this woodiness coz of the Jack that just maks it sooo amazing! It is also not so hard to cook. Just boil the oranges, let them cool, add sugar and etc and you are done. Please do try it. It will be worth the time spent.
Other than the bottle of Jack and the amazing marmalade I made Jack is having an amazing BBQ event this Saturday 29th October called Brothers of the Grill. I went for the 1st one in June and let me tell you it was just too amazing. So on entering we got food vouchers, cocktail vouchers and water vouchers. I went with my friend so in total we had 8 vouchers. There were 10 places to try out. Unfortunately we went late like after 5pm so most places had run out of food. We still ate quite a bit but most importantly we drunk. Buy did we enjoy our cocktails.
So now this Saturday I will be there at 3pm. I just have to eat till I drop. And guess what? I want you I want two of you to come with me. All you have to do is share this recipe on your social media tag African Kaya and use the hashtag #JDBBQ #AfricanKaya and I will announce the winner by Thursday evening. so start sharing.
